Do you have any puppies available? Please send an email to [email protected] to be added to our email list for future litters. We'll send an announcement when the time comes and wait until then to reserve puppies. First picks are reserved for the breeder.
HealthThe parents are from Field Champion lines, and their hips, elbows and eyes have been checked.
Before going to their new homes, puppies will visit the veterinarian for health exams and their first immunizations. You'll receive a record of this visit. All puppies are dewormed three times and microchipped. They will also visit the ophthalmologist for OFA eye exams. Tails are docked to field-bred standard length and dewclaws are removed. TrainingFor pet homes, please plan to enroll your puppy in a basic training class. Look for an AKC S.T.A.R. or Canine Good Citizen program in your community. For hunters, we can recommend pros in your area. The book Hup is a great introduction to training flushing dogs.
AKC registrationWhen you pick up your puppy, your folder will include an AKC registration form with your puppy's unique identification number. You'll need this number and the PIN on the form to register your puppy by mail or online.

FeedingThe puppies are fed Purina Pro Plan Puppy Chicken & Rice dry dog food, and we'll send some home with you. If you'd like to feed your puppy something else, we recommend mixing the two foods at first to ease the transition.
ToysBalls are great for playing fetch. We recommend Nylabones for teething puppies. Offer a safe teether whenever the puppy chews on something they shouldn't. Avoid toys with squeakers or toys that encourage tug-of-war.
Going homePuppies will be ready to go home at eight weeks of age. Please bring a collar and leash and perhaps a crate for longer trips. Please also bring water if you have a long trip. If traveling by air, please contact your airline for their particular carry-on crate specifications.
